Richard C. Strauss – Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Republic Property Group
Mr. Strauss established RPG and affiliates in 1967, and has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Office since its inception. He has also served as Founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the Investment and Loan Committees of a number of banks and financial institutions in Texas.
In May 1984, Gov. Mark White named Mr. Strauss Chairman of the State Purchasing and General Services Commission, which oversees purchasing, leasing, and construction for the state of Texas. He served on the three member commission from 1984 to March 1987.
In October 1987, Lieutenant Gov. William Hobby appointed Mr. Strauss to the Special Committee to study the organization and structure of state agencies in the Executive Branch of the State Government where he served on the Economic Subcommittee. He also served as Chairman of the Subcommittee for Restructuring Banking, Savings and Loans, and Credit Union Agencies for the state.
John P. Wagner – Managing Partner, Republic Property Group
John Wagner joined Republic Property Group in 1995 as Managing Partner.
Prior to joining the company he spent 25 years as a commercial mortgage banker. After several years with Glenn Justice Mortgage Company, John was founder and partner in Wagner and Stone, a mortgage banking operation that later sold to BA Mortgage of Texas, a subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation. John served as President of BA Mortgage of Texas for eight years. He is a graduate of University of Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Mark R. Wagner – President, Republic Property Group
Mark Wagner joined Republic Property Group in 1997 and has been the President and Partner of RPG for nine years overseeing the day-to-day operations of all construction and development related activities. From 1977 to 1997 Mark was the President and CEO of First Worthing Company – a regional multi-family company – where he developed more than 10,000 apartment units. Mark is a 1974 graduate of University of Texas where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration.
